Fifth Annual Garden Fest on Sunday, March 28 at 3 PM at Harborview Market, 216 Harborview Avenue, Black Rock.  Sponsored by the Black Rock Garden Club.  Speakers include:  Lisa Miro , Conservation Coordinator for City of Bridgeport, Steve Aladun, Special Project Coordinator "Bridgeport's Conservation Initiative", Patti Popp, owner/grower Sport Hill Organic Farm "Operating as a CSA", Kate Jamison, Gilberties Herb Farm "Sustainable Commercial Growing and Herb Cultivation", Charles Brilvitch, Bridgeport Historian "Opportunities for Conservation in Bridgeport", and Stuart Sachs, Landscape Architect, "Making Bridgeport a ‘Tree City'".  Moderated by Tim O'Connor.

Vendors include:  Mayan Imports - ceramics for the garden; Happy Tails - wild bird supplies, Peter Konserlie - sandcasting - art for the garden, Bill Parker - birdhouses, Pati Feher - botanical prints and cards.

Sharon - I'd love to have time to be member of the Garden Club.  Great group of people!  However, no, haven't the time to garden or learn about it.  Let's see which would I rather do blog or garden?  Hmmm. 

Joan - I'd like to attend at least one of these Garden Fests one day, but they are always held on a weekend during the Spring market. 

Michael - My poor gardens are in sad shape.  One of these days...
